Work in progress…

Eliane Harvey smallDSC01190

I found I could say things with color and shapes, that I couldn’t say any other way. My inspirations can come from anything that lures my attention, it might be a beautiful music or a movie, a sunny or raining day of a photo in┬áthe magazine. I paint when I am inspired and feel compelled to this way my paintings are honest and from my soul.

Eliane Harvey
Eliane Harvey was born in Brazil moved to United States on her twenties. She is a self-taught artist, who learned a lot by reading about the old masters like Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rafael, and others. Throughout her life she spent a lot of time drawing and painting and taking workshops from artists all over Brazil and United States. Although she studied mechanical design at the SATC Technical School, she continued her art career while working for Cecrisa and Ceusa as a ceramic tile designer. The tiles that she designed were produced in Brazil and offered for sale in both Brazil and Europe.

  1. It was nice to meet you In Ft Lauderdale are the Brazilian Art Show. It was nice to chat with you however briefly and I did love your Carmen Miranda Painting.
I reflect in your question to me about if I could speak Portuguese. My thoughts to learn are always in my mind. I told you my grandparents are from Sao Miguel, in the Azores Island group. In fact the Village they are from is called Furnas. (My last name)
If you know anyone who would consider to be my tutor please let me know.

    Warm Regards,
    Captain Bob Furnas
